PEKANBARU - Dozens of demonstrators who are part of the Student Alliance for Justice (AMMK) held a protest at the gate of the Attorney General's Office, Thursday (21/1/2021) afternoon, asking them to investigate the alleged corruption case of Indra Gunawan, former head of the DPRD Riau who is also a former head of Bengkalis Regency DPRD.
Eko Putra, AMMK's General Coordinator at the demonstration said that the corruption case allegedly committed by Indra Gunawan Eet includes receiving bribes for the approval of the Bengkalis APBD or known as "ketok palu" money for the 2012 fiscal year.
In addition, the Head of the DPD II Golkar Party in Bengkalis Regency was also accused by the AMMK crowd of being involved in the alleged corruption case of the multi-year project from 2013 to 2015.
In the trial at the Court for Corruption Crimes Pekanbaru with the defendant M Nasir, the name Eet was said to have been involved in the multi-year funding.
The court fact at that time stated that Indra Gunawan, who was the Vice of the Bengkalis DPRD, received 100 million rupiahs for the multi-year project of the construction of the Duri-Sei Pakning road from 2017 to 2019.
This is the confession of the defendants Jamal Ardillah and Firzal Fudhoil at trial.
"We suspect Indra Gunawan Eet's involvement in the multi-year project corruption case in 2013-2015 and 2017-2019 in Bengkalis Regency," said Eko.
Before leaving Riau Attorney General's Office, AMMK said that if their demands were not fulfilled, they would come again with a larger number of people.**/yeye
